WHO IS ERALLA?
Eralla was born and raised in Tangerang, Indonesia, as one of ten siblings. Her love for storytelling began when she was just eight years old, after her older sister brought home a teenlit novel from the school library. Instantly fascinated by the power of words and the ability to create entire new worlds through writing, young Eralla started reading voraciously and mimicking the authors she admired. By sixteen, she had completed her first novel. Although it was merely to experience her very first rejection. But the dream of becoming a writer never faded.
Her teenage years were marked by intellectual curiosity and a passionate love for books. Despite achieving academic success throughout school and university, Eralla never let go of her dream to become a writer even as her day-to-day job took her far from the creative world. She has spent most of her career working in office roles across various tech companies. Throughout those years, writing remained a constant in her life, even if she no longer felt the urge to seek publication or share her work with the world.
Now, Eralla finds joy in writing during her free time and publishing her work independently. Her debut novel, My Favorite Kind of Blue, was released in February 2024. It was a deeply personal project that marked a long-awaited moment of self-actualization. Her second, yet-to-be titled, novel is already in the works.
